Terms

The agreements for buying, selling and trading on Trademon. In plain language, so you know where you stand.

Last changed: 25 October 2026

In short

  • Trademon brings collectors together. You make a purchase or trade with the other collector, not with Trademon.
  • If you pay on the site, you pay for buyer protection (€0.99 + 5% of the cards) and the money is held until you say all is good.
  • Paying in cash at a pickup and trading without money are possible, but without buyer protection.
  • If you ship with a label through Trademon and the parcel does not fit in the kind you chose, you pay the surcharge of the carrier.
  • Paying outside the site, fakes and misleading listings are not allowed.

1. Who we are and what Trademon does

  1. 1.1 Trademon (trademon.nl) is an online marketplace where collectors buy, sell and trade trading cards and sealed products. Trademon is a sole proprietorship; our details are in the privacy statement.
  2. 1.2 A purchase or trade is made between the collectors themselves. Trademon is not a party to it: we sell nothing ourselves, and the seller is responsible for what they offer.
  3. 1.3 Payments go through our payment provider Stripe and shipping labels through Sendcloud. Their own terms also apply to their services.
  4. 1.4 Trademon is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures or The Pokémon Company. We only use card names to show what is on offer.
  5. 1.5 These terms apply to everyone with an account. If translations differ, the Dutch text prevails.

2. Your account

  1. 2.1 You may create an account at any age. If you are under 18, talk to your parents before you buy or sell anything. To receive money you have to be verified by the payment provider, which sets a minimum age.
  2. 2.2 You have one account, with your own, correct details. Your shipping address has to be right: that is where parcels go.
  3. 2.3 You keep your password secret. What happens with your account is your responsibility. If you notice misuse, let us know right away.
  4. 2.4 You can always delete your account yourself. You first finish running orders and trades.

3. Listing

  1. 3.1 You only offer what you have yourself and may sell or trade. Fakes, proxies, stolen goods and cards you do not have are not allowed.
  2. 3.2 You describe your listing honestly: the right card, set, language, variant and condition (NM to PO), or for sealed whether it is still closed. Photos are of your own copy.
  3. 3.3 For each listing you choose whether it can be shipped, picked up or both, and when shipped which kind of shipping it fits in ("Fits in"). If you choose a kind that is too small, you pay a surcharge of the carrier (see article 5).
  4. 3.4 Your price is what you get. We may remove listings that do not meet these terms.

4. Buying and paying

  1. 4.1 You buy per seller from one cart. At checkout you see the cards, the delivery, the shipping costs, the buyer protection and the total.
  2. 4.2 If you pay on the site, you pay buyer protection on top of the price: €0.99 + 5% of the price of the cards. With it your money is held until you have the cards, and you can report a problem (article 7). You get the buyer protection back if the order is cancelled before anything was shipped.
  3. 4.3 As soon as you go to the payment page, the cards are reserved for you for 30 minutes. If you do not pay within that time, the order lapses and the cards are available again.
  4. 4.4 The purchase is made as soon as your payment is in, or for a cash pickup as soon as you place the order.
  5. 4.5 You buy from a private person. The legal right of withdrawal of 14 days therefore does not apply; you can report a problem if the cards are not right.

5. Shipping and pickup

  1. 5.1 The seller ships the cards well packed and as soon as possible. If a paid order has not been shipped after 7 days, the buyer can cancel and gets everything back.
  2. 5.2 If the seller ships on their own, they can fill in a tracking code. Without tracking, Trademon cannot check whether the parcel arrived, and the risk if it does not arrive is the seller's.
  3. 5.3 With a label through Trademon the buyer pays for the label at checkout. The kind follows from "Fits in" on the listing; with more items in one order the largest kind. When making the label the seller may choose a larger kind; the difference comes off what they get for the order.
  4. 5.4 If a parcel does not fit in the kind of the label, or is too heavy, the carrier charges a surcharge. That surcharge is for the sender: we take it from the order or from your balance at the payment provider, or you get a payment request. After 3 surcharges you can no longer use labels through Trademon.
  5. 5.5 If the buyer chooses to pick up at a parcel point, they collect the parcel there within the carrier's term. If they do not collect it, it goes back to the seller.
  6. 5.6 For a pickup, buyer and seller agree on a time and place together. Meet in a public place. If you pay in cash at the pickup, there is no buyer protection and Trademon cannot help with a problem.

6. All good, terms and payouts

  1. 6.1 When the buyer has the cards and everything is right, they choose "All good". Only then does the money go to the seller.
  2. 6.2 If the buyer says nothing, the money goes to the seller by itself: 7 days after the carrier delivered the parcel (with a label through Trademon), 14 days after the seller chose "Shipped" (if they ship on their own), or 2 days after the appointment (for a pickup paid on the site).
  3. 6.3 The seller gets their price and, if they ship on their own, the shipping costs, minus what was paid back after a problem, a larger kind of label and surcharges. The buyer protection and the label itself stay with Trademon.
  4. 6.4 To receive money you get verified by the payment provider Stripe. The money first goes to your balance at Stripe. Every week we transfer it to your bank if it is €25.00 or more; smaller amounts after about 3 months at the latest. Sooner is possible with "Pay out now": the first time in a month costs €2.00.
  5. 6.5 If you sell a lot, the payment provider may report you to the tax authorities (the European DAC7 rules). Stripe asks for the details needed for that. Whether you have to pay tax on your sales is for you to find out.

7. When something is wrong

  1. 7.1 If something is wrong with an order paid on the site, choose "There is a problem" before the money goes to the seller. Say what is wrong and add photos. The money then stays held.
  2. 7.2 Buyer and seller sort it out together: the seller can pay part back, you can agree that the cards are sent back, or the buyer withdraws the problem.
  3. 7.3 If you cannot agree after 7 days, either of you can call in an administrator of Trademon. The administrator looks at what was reported and decides how the money is divided. We follow that decision on the site.
  4. 7.4 For a cash pickup and for trades without money, Trademon cannot decide about money. You can report or block the other collector.

8. Trading

  1. 8.1 You can trade with any collector, without money. A trade proposal without an answer expires after 7 days.
  2. 8.2 Once a trade is accepted, you both ship your cards, or you meet to trade. Tick it off when you have the other collector's cards; if you do not, the trade counts as received 14 days after shipping.
  3. 8.3 There is no buyer protection with trades: you rely on each other. So look at the other collector's reviews, and ship with tracking.
  4. 8.4 You can buy a label through Trademon for your side of a trade. The same rules about the kind and surcharges as in article 5 apply to that label.

9. What is not allowed

  1. 9.1 Paying or making arrangements to get around the site. Those who find each other through Trademon check out or trade through Trademon; paying in cash at a pickup goes through the site.
  2. 9.2 Fakes, misleading listings, fake reviews or harassing others, also in messages.
  3. 9.3 Using several accounts, or using the site in a way that harms it or other collectors.
  4. 9.4 If you do not keep to these terms, we may remove listings, turn off labels or block your account. In case of fraud we may report it to the police.

10. Liability

  1. 10.1 Trademon brings collectors together and handles the payment. The seller is responsible for the condition, authenticity and description of what is offered.
  2. 10.2 As far as the law allows, Trademon is only liable for damage we caused ourselves on purpose or through gross negligence, and at most up to the amount you paid to Trademon in that order (the buyer protection or the label).
  3. 10.3 Parcels are carried by the carrier. If a parcel with a label through Trademon gets lost, we help you with a claim at the carrier.
  4. 10.4 We do our best to keep the site available at all times, but cannot promise that it always will be.

11. Privacy

  1. 11.1 How we handle your data is in our privacy statement. With an order or trade the other collector sees your shipping address, and with a label through Trademon it goes to Sendcloud and the carrier, only for shipping.

12. Changes and law

  1. 12.1 We may change these terms, for example when features are added. With a large change you get a notice beforehand. At the top is the date of the last change.
  2. 12.2 Dutch law applies to these terms. If we cannot agree together, a dispute can be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, or the court of the place where you live.
